Setting Up the Prospecting Agent
The Prospecting Agent is an AI-powered assistant that finds and qualifies prospects automatically, delivering curated picks to your CRM or lists.
When to use this
- You spend more time triaging lists than actually selling. If your SDR or AE team loses 30+ minutes a day sorting through prospects, hand the first-pass qualification to the agent and only review what it surfaces as qualified.
- You want a steady pipeline drip, not a one-time batch. Set the agent to deliver 1-3 qualified prospects per day. Reps walk in every morning to a short, pre-qualified list — easier to action than a backlog of hundreds.
- You’re running an always-on outbound motion in a known segment. Once you’ve proven a segment + ICP combination converts, let the agent keep feeding that same motion while your team focuses on outreach and meetings.
- You want to monitor existing customers for expansion triggers. Point the agent at a customer list with Monitor news/recruitment on, and it surfaces accounts with new funding, hiring spikes, or leadership changes — classic upsell signals.
Before you begin
- You need at least one segment and one ICP created.
- You need available AI Credits (shown in Settings).
Steps
- Go to Settings (click your name in the top-right, then Settings).
- Scroll to the Prospecting Agent section. You’ll see your remaining AI Credits count.
- Click Add a new agent.
- Configure the agent:
- Segment — Select which segment the agent should prospect in.
- Ideal Customer Profile — Choose the ICP to use for scoring. Prospects will be sorted by Goava Score based on this profile.
- Number of prospects — Set how many qualified prospects to find per day (e.g., 1 prospect daily).
- Frequency — Choose how often the agent runs (e.g., Daily).
- Positive outcome — Select the list where good prospects should be placed.
- Negative outcome — Select the list where rejected prospects should go.
- Maximum AI credit — Set the maximum AI credits to spend per prospect before the agent pauses.
- Monitor news/recruitment — Toggle on to have the agent watch for significant company updates and adjust Goava Scores accordingly.
- Toggle the agent to Active.
- Click Save.
Good to know: AI credits are spent during company analysis, even if a company doesn’t qualify. The maximum credit limit controls how much can be spent per prospect before the agent pauses.
