Quick Start Guide

Get from first login to your first qualified prospect in a few minutes.

1. Log in

Go to the Goava login page and sign in with your email and password. You can also use Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft for single sign-on.

2. Explore the Dashboard

After logging in, you’ll land on the Dashboard — your home base. From here you can:

  • Continue prospecting in your current segment
  • Create a new segment to discover prospects
  • View analytics for a segment
  • View or create lists to organize companies
  • Check out Product Updates for what’s new

3. Import your customers

Navigate to Settings and scroll to the Import section. Click Import companies from file to upload your existing customer list. Goava needs at least 10 customers to build an effective Ideal Customer Profile.

Tip: The more customers you upload, the better Goava can model your ideal prospect.

4. Create your first Ideal Customer Profile

Go to Ideal Customer Profiles in the left sidebar. Click the + button to create a new profile. Select one or more lists containing your best customers — Goava will analyze these to calculate the Goava Score for prospects.

Once generated, you’ll see distributions for geography, company type, revenue, employees, industry, and technologies.

5. Discover prospects in a segment

From an ICP page, click Create segment with this profile. Goava will generate recommended filters and populate a segment with ranked companies. Browse in Dashboard view to see detailed company cards, or switch to List view for a table overview.

6. Qualify or ignore prospects

In Dashboard view, each company card shows Qualify and Ignore buttons. Use these to triage prospects:

  • Qualify — Marks the company as a good fit and can move it to a list
  • Ignore — Removes the company from your active view

7. Research a company

Click the Research button on any company card to get AI-generated insights. You can also explore the company’s tabs: Overview, News, Financials, Web, People, and Recruitments.
